Surfaces 2005 On Pace For Record Show

Dallas, Texas, December 7--Surfaces 2005 will have more exhibitors and product introductions than any previous show. Hanley Wood, the owner of Surfaces, said the show will have more products and services, a bigger selection of suppliers and better opportunities for floor covering professionals, and is on pace to be a record-breaking event. With just two months left until the show, the company said that the exhibit floor is 99% sold out. It said that the number of companies contracted for the 2005 show is up 13%, and the net square feet occupied has increased more than 7% ahead of this time last year. It also said that many companies already in the show are upgrading to larger booth sizes to ensure maximum exposure to the key buyers who attend the event. "Interest in the show seems to be reaching an all-time high," says Karen Romano, sales manager, Surfaces. "We are doing everything we can just to keep up with the demand for exhibit space in the 2005 show." In response to the changing dynamic in retailer stores, the first-ever "Window/Wall Coverings Pavilion" was created. This Pavilion, which is sponsored by Draperies & Window Coverings and Interiors & Sources magazines, was designed to showcase this emerging profit center in one centralized location in the show. Manufacturers such as Ado, Avalon Shutters, Kittrich, Oxford House and many others were so interested, it immediately sold out. "There’s no question that Surfaces is the industry’s event," says Michelle Troop, senior show director, Surfaces. "Our phones, faxes and web sites are filled with people registering for the show, booking their hotels, reviewing exhibitor lists, signing up for classes and events and making all their plans to come to Las Vegas for the show. It’s looking to be one of the best shows yet." Surfaces 2005 will have close to 1,000 exhibiting companies that will be introducing thousands of new products. The show will also present a top-notch education in its all new Conference Program, hands-on demonstrations at the Installation Showcase, hot debate at Town Hall and more. Surfaces 2005 will take place January 26-28 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada USA.
