Dallas, TX, Apr. 19--To further support the mission of the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF), Surfaces and Hanley Wood will donate $100,000 to the organization over the next five years. Understanding the importance of an organization like FCIF and knowing that it depends upon contributions from industry employees, companies and manufacturers, Surfaces and Hanley Wood want to do their part in providing assistance to those industry professionals in need.
“We’re delighted that Hanley Wood sees the value in giving back in such a meaningful way to an industry they have become a key part of,” says Chris Davis, President, FCIF, and CEO, World Floor Covering Association (WFCA), which is the official Surfaces sponsor and now handles the management of FCIF’s day-to-day operations.
“Speaking for the board of FCIF, we are all very appreciative and thankful that Hanley Wood has committed to contribute $100,000 over the next five years to our industry charity,” adds Larry Nagle, FCIF Chairman of the Board and industry consultant. “I want to personally thank Galen Poss, President of Hanley Wood, who also serves as a Director of the Foundation, for consistently supporting the FCIF by hosting our annual Board of Directors breakfast meeting each year at Surfaces.”
FCIF is dedicated to financially assist floorcovering industry personnel who face catastrophic illness and extreme financial hardship. It is governed by a Board of Directors representing a broad base of industry leaders covering all aspects of the industry.
The Foundation was created to focus the attention and resources of the floor covering industry on the health, human service and welfare needs of industry colleagues. Since its founding, FCIF has given more than $1.5 million to help those in need. Beneficiaries include retailers, installers, retail salespeople, distributor personnel, mill employees and executives.
