Style Limited Files Strand-Woven Timber Patents

Melbourne, Australia, Feb. 24, 2010--Style Limited said it has filed five new international patents, paving the way for the company to launch a range of new strand-woven timber products.

The company said this represents a significant new step in the growth of its business.

The new patents include a range of aspects in the production of “green” strand-woven timber flooring, from the preparation of raw materials to the design of specialised manufacturing equipment.

The patents also extend to a wide range of sustainable timber species.

The patents have been filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty, which includes 139 member states worldwide, and covers all of Style’s major retail and distribution markets.

Earlier, Style signed a a license agreement with Tarkett to manufacture a new range of “green flooring” products using Style’s timber technology patent.
