Stone Named Invista Interiors President

Atlanta, GA, June 12, 2007--Invista has appointed Dan Stone president of Invista Interiors. He will be responsible for Invista's global interiors and flooring businesses, including residential, commercial, area rugs and automotive.   "We are pleased to have an experienced professional with Dan's level of expertise at the helm of Invista Interiors," said Jeff Gentry, Invista chairman of the board and chief executive officer. "He is a proven leader aligned with Invista's business strategy and he understands and supports our strong commitment to brand leadership and to our customers."   Stone is responsible for overall management of the Interiors portfolio of products, including Antron carpet fiber for commercial and automotive applications, Comforelfiberfill for sleep products, and StainMaster carpet for residential applications with extended brand positions in bath and area rugs and paint. Global regions of the Interiors business under Stone's responsibility include North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and South America. Day-to-day business unit management under Stone remains in the hands of existing, long-term leaders, including Bobby Berrier, vice president, commercial and transportation; Steve Griffith, vice president, residential flooring; and Ana Torrence, vice president, home and hospitality interiors.    Stone has 25 years of management experience with Invista A and DuPont. Prior to his appointment as president of Invista Interiors, Stone previously served as vice president, nylon for Invista's Performance Materials business, leading the global business that provides fibers used in airbags, sewing thread, military products and industrial textiles. He was the global director for DuPont Textiles and Interiors airbag business and also the Asia-Pacific regional director for Home and Industrial Textiles based in Hong Kong. Stone has held various operations positions at Savannah River Nuclear Plant; Invista's nylon intermediate plant in Victoria, Texas; Invista's industrial nylon fiber plant in Kingston, Ontario; and also worked as a financial analyst and in chemical sales.
