Stone Mountain-GCO Recognizes Award Winners

St. Louis, MO, March 25--Stone Mountain’s Flooring Outlet-GCO Flooring Outlet recently honored top franchisees, managers, sales staff and outlets for their outstanding achievements at the 2005 Stone Mountain-GCO Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee. Stone Mountain-GCO presented the following awards at their 2005 Spring Convention: Franchisee of the Year: Shawn Langan/Jason Ciluffo – GCO Davenport, Iowa, Moline and Peoria, Illinois and Bill Smith – Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, Virginia This year proves to be unique, as two franchisees were recognized due to their equally outstanding performances during the past year. Langan/Ciluffo and Smith were honored with this award for their successful business operations, contribution to the improvement of our organization, and service to their community. The Franchisees of the Year each received an Italian-made sculpture of a Crystal Eagle to recognize their performance. Manager of the Year: Greg Barnes – Stone Mountain Chesapeake, Virginia. The Manager of the Year received a trophy and $1,000 for his exceptional performance. Million Dollar Sales Club This award recognizes the loyalty and success of the Franchisees’ associates. Any associate that achieves $1 million in sales during a year receives a diamond ring to signify their outstanding achievement. For every million-dollar milestone after, the associate earns another diamond. Top-sellers achieved sales of $1 million up to $11 million. Forty-four associates joined the "Million Dollar Sales Club" or added a diamond this year, with one associate, Jim Marlatt of GCO Gainesville, Florida, earning his 11th diamond – a new record. Sales Achievement Awards: These are three categories based on comparative groups by market levels. Red Category Highest Sales Volume: Stone Mountain Virginia Beach, Virginia achieved the highest sales volume during the fiscal year. Highest Percentage of Sales Increase: Stone Mountain Wichita, Kansas achieved the highest percentage of sales increase during the fiscal year. White Category Highest Sales Volume: GCO Gainesville, Florida achieved the highest sales volume during the fiscal year. Highest Percentage of Sales Increase: GCO Gulfport, Mississippi achieved the highest percentage of sales increase during the fiscal year. Blue Category Highest Sales Volume: GCO Leesburg, Florida achieved the highest sales volume during the fiscal year. Highest Percentage of Sales Increase: Stone Mountain Paducah, Kentucky achieved the highest percentage of sales increase during the fiscal year. 10-Year Service Award: This award recognizes franchisees who have been in business under the Stone Mountain-GCO name for ten years, for their service, enhancement, and development of their local community. Recipients of this award receive a plaque and "10-Year Service" pins to present to their associates in appreciation of their commitment to the community. Stone Mountain-GCO acknowledged twenty-two Outlets in this category.
