Portland, ME, April 18, 2006--One of the more talked-about products at the recent Coverings 2006 expo in Orlando was Steuler-Fliesen's LED tiles, which have a small light set flush in the center. Una Terra of Portland, Maine, is the exclusive distributor of these lighted tiles.
Some 35,000 attendees packed the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando on April 4-7 for Coverings.
More than a few stopped by booth No. 5734 to take a look at the latest creation from Steuler-Fliesen, Germany-based manufacturers of premium ceramic tile.
What they saw, Steuler’s new LED Tile collection in six different colors, left many saying “wow,” and some saying “where?”
The answer to the second question was conveniently right next door, as this year Steuler shared a booth with Una Terra, exclusive U.S. distributors of all of Steuler’s creative collections. Steuler’s illuminated LED floor and walls tiles lend an ultra-modern ambience wherever they are installed. The polished and unique design also works well on staircases and in entry ways.
Una Terra also showcased one of their most popular swimming pool collections. The Frammenti & Riflessi series is an blend of glass and color. The thickness of the glass gives depth and variation to the mosaic colors and elements, and the result is an antique finish that evokes images of old Venetian glass.
The series adds a wonderful sense of depth and color with the heaviest glaze application on the market. The glaze, which consists of Pyrex glass, means this line can be installed in swimming pools, tubs, floors or countertops without the worry of staining. The glaze is designed to creep back from the edge of the tile so there is no weak spot of thin glass on the outer edges, making this the only tumbled glass tile on the market without sharp edges.
