Starnet Cancels Fall Membership Meeting
Columbus, OH, July 1, 2020-The Starnet board of directors has elected to cancel the 2020 Starnet Fall Membership Meeting scheduled for October 7 to 8 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Chuck Bode, chairman of Starnet, stated that “the Starnet Board is deeply disappointed to make this decision. We recognize the need to meet and collaborate on what the future might hold for the contract flooring business in 2021.”
The decision was made based on limitations in large group gatherings and corporate travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Another factor in the decision to cancel was that the Omni Hotel, where the meeting was to be held, has to delay reopening until later this year. While it had planned to reopen on July 1 following the virus-induced shutdown, it sustained damage during recent protests and looting that will require repairs.
Starnet will transform the planned live programs into virtual events throughout the month of October.
