Fort Mill, SC, November 2, 2006--Springs Industries, based in Fort Mill, said Wednesday it has sold its area rugs business to C.S. Brooks World Carpets of Canada, according to a report in The State.
The newspaper reported that th sale of Springs Decorative Floor assets include plants in Dalton, Ga., and Ontario, Canada.
Springs Industries’ remaining business is Springs Window Fashions, a producer of window treatments and decorative hardware. The company went private in 2001, and sold its sheets and towels businesses in a joint venture with a Brazilian company in January.
