Dalton, GA, October 12, 2005--Sphinx by Oriental Weavers will debut two new handcrafted collections and additions to each of its three licensed product lines at the upcoming International Home Furnishings Market in High Point.
Sphinx’s new Cache Collection is hand-tufted to emulate the look of Tibetan and Nepalese hand-knotted rugs. In this collection, unique, transitional and contemporary designs are showcased in fashion colors based around the softer hues in today’s fabrics. Handcrafted of 100% wool in China, a 5’ x 8’ will retail for $399.
The Vista Collection boasts Peshawar-inspired patterns in updated color and design schemes through a special hard-twist construction. Handcrafted in China of 100% wool this collection is priced at $399 for a 5’ x 8’.
With the initial introduction in High Point last October, the National Geographic Home collection of area rugs from Sphinx reflects cultural diversity and native landscapes from around the world. Sphinx will showcase a flatweave of all natural jute and leather. Hand-woven in China, a 5’ x 8’ will retail for $299.
Also being launched this October is the Woolrich Summerstone Falls Collection. This latest licensing partnership rounds out Sphinx’s product assortment with classic colorations and design motifs that offer the tradition and warmth of the Woolrich brand in luxurious 100% wool area rugs. Handcrafted in India, the stylings being introduced by Sphinx range from transitional geometrics to casual traditionals in the latest hues found in today’s home furnishings. A 5’ x 8’ will retail for $399.
The Andy Warhol Home Collection from Sphinx will feature new designs this market as well. Drawing inspiration from over 40 years of the artist’s work and hand-tufted of 100% wool in China, the two new pieces feature the same contemporary flair, and trend-setting style elements the artist was known for. A 5’6” x 8’ 6” will retail for $599.
