Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 2--SPACES, Florida's largest retail home design center with over 155,000 square feet of showrooms, has officially opened their doors to the public.
SPACES, which contains Vita Leisure, Marble of the World and Florida Plumbing, Kitchen & Appliances stores, carries a huge assortment of products for the home including complete kitchens with over 250 kitchen sinks and kitchen faucets on display.
Also available are name brand appliances, the largest plumbing and Toto and VitaBath showroom in the country with over 50 whirlpools on display, over 1,000 spas in stock ready for immediate delivery, barbecues, billiards and game tables, hundreds of barstools, Brown Jordan and other name brand patio furniture, imported rugs, theater seating featuring Berkline plus the most complete collection of tile, marble and granite from all over the world.
Eric Dormoy, president of DM Industries, has helped to spearhead the efforts to create the one-stop shopping experience for home design shoppers. "We've created a store unlike any other," Dormoy said. "We have included the top brands such as Toto and VitaSpa, hired the most knowledgeable sales staff and created an atmosphere where a customer can visit and virtually remodel multiple rooms in their home, or their patio, at one location. The initial customer feedback has been spectacular."
Angel Martinez, owner of Florida Plumbing and FW Supply, and Charles Urso, owner of Marble of the World have also been critical in the Grand Opening of the center. Martinez mentions: "This is something that the home improvement shoppers in South Florida have been requesting for years. Customers love to visit the showroom and be able to sit in the tubs and actually see the faucets, toilets and sinks. In the past these customers were often forced to order from catalogs."
SPACES expects about half of their business to come from interior designers, and the other half to come from traditional retail customers. All three companies involved have been in business in South Florida for over fifteen years and have created loyal customer bases.
