South Dakota Boys Win Mohawk Contest

Dalton, GA, Aug. 2, 2012 -- South Dakota brothers Cruz and Fletcher Birkeland have been named “America’s Biggest Messmakers” in Mohawk's Messiest Kid Contest.

More than 250 parents and grandparents entered children in the nationwide search by uploading photos and videos of their messy children to Mohawk’s Facebook page.

The Birkeland boys were photographed by their mother just minutes after smearing red Jello-O sugar all over each other.

The Birkeland family will receive a $10,000 room makeover consulted by HGTV star and celebrity designer Taniya Nayak as their grand prize.

Mohawk launched the Messiest Kid Contest in April on The Better Show, a nationally syndicated women’s lifestyle and entertainment program airing in 150 markets.
