Solutia Ultron Names Jurors for Doc Award
Kennesaw, GA, June 2, 2008 — Solutia Ultron has selected jurors for the 2008 Doc Award Competition.
The design competition recognizes outstanding achievement in contract projects that integrate color, space, form, function and materials, including carpet made with Solutia’s Ultron nylon 6,6 fiber. The independent panel of judges represents the top design professionals in the industry conducts judging on behalf of Solutia.
The jurors for the 2008 Doc Competition include:
Wayne Braun, IDSA, principal at Planning Design Research Corporation in Houston, Texas, is a nationally recognized designer of corporate offices and commercial furniture.
Janice Linster, ASID, CID, is principal and one of the founding partners of Studiohive in Minneapolis, Minn.
Katie Michael, IIDA, NCIDQ, is an associate at Gensler in New York, N.Y., with 15 years experience in the interior design industry. As well as her design responsibilities, Katie is involved with the Design Leadership for the Northeast Region.
Wendell Salvador, IIDA, CID, senior associate principal at Rothenberg Sawasy Architects Inc. in Los Angeles, Calif., is responsible for both managing and designing full service interior architectural projects.
Judges will bestow honors to design firms based on originality of design, overall aesthetic, pricing, and usability in the contract environment. In addition to honoring project design, the competition recognizes carpet mills for outstanding achievement in product design.
