St. Louis, MO, December 1, 2005--Solutia Inc. announced that it has removed the force majeure declaration that had been in effect for certain products within its Integrated Nylon Division.
The force majeure declaration had been announced in response to raw material and utility supply limitations caused by hurricane activity in the Gulf Coast region. Those raw material and utility supply limitations have been sufficiently alleviated.
"We would like to thank our customers and suppliers for working with us to minimize the impact of this disruption," said Jonathon Wright, president of Solutia's Integrated Nylon Division. "While our industry continues to face high raw material and energy prices, we are pleased to see that raw materials have begun to flow out of the Gulf region at a more normal rate."
