Solutia Remains Focused on Carpet Market

Chattanooga, TN, Sept. 19, 2008--Carpet fiber maker Solutia Inc. recently announced its intention to look for a buyer for its nylon business.

In light of that information, we would like to correct an item that appeared in the August/September edition of Floor Focus magazine.

One of our sustainability stories said that Solutia might not be in the carpet fiber business a year from now, a statement that was made based on Solutia’s announcement about its nylon business.

However, Solutia said that, in fact, it continues to focus on supplying Nylon 6.6 fiber to the carpet market.
