Solutia Names Berra VP of Government Affairs, Comm
St. Louis, August 4, 2006--Solutia Inc., has appointed Paul J. Berra III vice president of government affairs and communications. In this role, Berra is responsible for the company's government affairs, public relations, community relations and internal communications programs on a global scale. He reports to Jeffry N. Quinn, chairman, president and CEO of Solutia Inc., and is a member of Solutia's Executive Leadership Team. "I firmly believe in the tremendous value that a proactive government affairs and communications program can bring to an organization," said Quinn, "and I am confident Paul and his team will drive significant positive change for Solutia." Previously Berra served in the dual capacity of assistant general counsel and director of government affairs for Solutia. Prior to joining Solutia in 2003, Berra held positions at Premcor Inc., and Lewis, Rice & Fingerish, LLC. He earned his J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1994 and his B.S. from Webster University in 1990.
