Solutia Expanding Windshield Plastics Plant

Springfield, MO, March 13, 2008- - Solutia Inc. is planning to invest $50 million to $75 million at its Indian Orchard plant over the next five to 10 years.

Besides Saflex for windshields, the plastic that makes the glass stronger, the plant makes chemicals that go into Saflex and is the site of Solutia's research and development laboratory.
