Smith Named Floors 2 Go Chairman

Birmingham, England, January 19, 2006--Floors 2 Go, the UK's largest specialist retailer of laminate and wooden flooring, announced that Alan Smith, 60, currently chairman of Robert Dyas, will be joining the board immediately, as non-executive chairman. Roy Gabbie will step down from the board to pursue his other business activities. Alan Smith has over thirty years managerial and board experience in store and leisure retailing. He previously held senior appointments as Chairman and chief executive of Robert Dyas, chief executive of Somerfield Plc and chief executive of Punch Taverns. Prior to this he held senior positions at Kingfisher Plc, firstly as managing director of Superdrug Stores and then as managing director of B&Q Plc.
