Slip Resistance a Prime Feature at Azrock by Tarke

Houston, TX, February 7--When it comes to choosing a floor for retail or commercial applications, color, texture and durability are all high on the list of requirements. Safety, however, is an even bigger consideration. The Milano and Cortina Grande Collections from Azrock by Tarkett offer the best in both style and safety with a wide range of colors and slip resistant options as well. "These floors offer up-to-date colors for a more contemporary feel and a clean, sophisticated appearance," says Graeme Hendry, product development manager, Tarkett Commercial. "But more importantly, each collection features a slip resistant version, which is the obvious choice for all areas where moisture collects such as entryways, produce areas, the frozen food section and florist centers. Our slip resistant tiles match our smooth surface tiles, allowing a continuous design pattern throughout the facility or store." Milano solid vinyl tile comes in Gray, Taupe, Beige, White, Gold, Copper, Brown, Plum, Blue Gray, Blue, Green and Black. Featuring multicolored chips pressed into the tile, Milano replicates the look of natural stone. The speckled visual and larger tile size help to expand the creative options for installation. Because of its higher vinyl content, solid vinyl tile is very durable flooring, flexible enough to conform to any sub-flooring irregularities and adjust to expansion and contraction issues. In addition, solid vinyl tile can be dry-buffed and doesn’t require a floor finish. Milano is also available with a slip resistant (SR) feature, offering both safety and aesthetics for heavily trafficked or potentially slippery areas. The surface of Milano SR is sealed with Tarkett’s exclusive Tritonite wear-layer, which uses ceramic technology for superior resistance against abrasions, scuffs and scrapes up to five times better than a traditional surface. This exclusive wear-layer also makes it one of the easiest slip resistant floors to maintain. Milano SR is available in five colors including Gray, Taupe, Blue Gray, White and Beige, and is offered in larger 16” x 16”, 1/8” gauge tiles that expand options for creative installation. "The safety features of Milano SR make this an ideal flooring for school foyers, hotel lobbies or convenience stores which have heavy foot traffic and are thus susceptible to a multitude of potential slip and fall situations," continues Hendry. "Milano SR offers a visually pleasing environment that assures sure footing to help avoid dangerous and costly accidents." Cortina Grande SR is enhanced with an embossed surface, allowing increased surface friction, which minimizes slips and falls. Available in seven colors: Heather, Camel, Multi-Gray, Silt, Sage, Pumice, and Black & White and larger format tiles which enhance design options in bigger spaces. This premium tile line has more vinyl content than standard vinyl composition tile for enhanced durability and easy maintenance. Like Milano SR, Cortina Grande also features the Titronite wear-layer, which makes it ideal for areas where high performance with ease of maintenance is a requirement.
