Shaw Reportedly Closing Alabama Yarn Plant

Stevenson, AL, May 29, 2008--Shaw Industries said that it will close a carpet yarn production plant in Stevenson, according to the Huntsville Times.

The plant has 416 employees, according to the local economic development agency.

The newspaper said that a source close to the plant said the plant will close in 60 days.
