Shaw Reorganizes Sales Divisions, Creates New Posi
Dalton, GA, July 11--Shaw Industries recently reorganized its residential sales divisions to work more closely with retail customers and enhance business development. Most significant is the segmentation of the company’s Midwest region, with a new region being created and others geographically altered. The change follows the recent retirement of one of the Shaw’s veteran divisional vice presidents, John Stoklosa, retiring after 25 years of service. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Stoklosa’s original Midwest Division had already been altered to form Shaw’s Great Lakes Division. Further changes have created the company’s new Pacific Northwest Division. The geographical restructuring has also included modification of Trey Thames was promoted to the position of divisional vice president for the Great Lakes Division. Thames has 12 years of service with Shaw and was most recently a regional manager in the company’s Southwest Division. Kurt Paulson, formerly director of residential product marketing at corporate headquarters in Dalton, has been appointed divisional vice president of the Pacific Northwest Division. Paulson has been with the company for 14 years. According to John Godwin, executive vice president of sales, one of the primary reasons for the changes was to more effectively direct Shaw’s new retail programs. “With our increased focus on retail, this new structure will expedite our new initiatives and better serve our customers,” Godwin said. Scott Sandlin, Shaw vice president of marketing, added, “While we’ll certainly miss John Stoklosa, Trey and Kurt will be outstanding leaders for these new sales regions. Both have a long history of success with the company.”
