Shaw Planning National Fall Flooring Promotion

Dalton, GA, Aug. 25, 2009--Shaw will hold another comprehensive national promotion, the 2009 Fall Flooring Event.

This year, the company opened up registration for the national promotion to all retailers. Nearly 10,000 retailers registered to participate.

Running from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, the promotion is designed to assist retailers in generating store traffic and increasing sales through a four-phased marketing approach including national advertising, local marketing support, Shawfloors.com instant win, and sweepstakes and retailer incentives.

The Shawfloors.com instant win and sweepstakes will award a $5,000 flooring makeover grand prize to one consumer and a $200 off Shaw flooring coupon to all entrants. Plus, every registered retailer will have their store information listed on the Shawfloors.com Retailer Locator during the promotional period.

According to Shaw, the 2008 saw more than 140,000 consumers registered on Shawfloors.com and more than 600 winners received prizes from the online sweepstakes.

Online advertising efforts earned 40 million impressions on sites like HGTV.com, ThisOldHouse.com and WeatherChannel.com, which led to a 215 percent increase in website traffic. Also, the company saw a 360 percent increase in number of consumer coupons generated as well as over $100,000 in awarded Shaw flooring gift cards spent.
