Shaw Learning Academy Receives Hermes Awards
Dalton, GA, June 28, 2007- Shaw Learning Academy earned two Platinum Awards and one Honorable Mention award at the Hermes Creative Awards 2007 competition. The Shaw Learning Academy won one Platinum Award for the Shaw Learning Academy brand and one Platinum Award for EXPLORE! The Flooring Industry board game. Also, the Shaw Learning Academy won an Honorable Mention for its online newsletter named News Floor You.
The awards are presented by the Association of Marketing Communications Professionals, an international organization of several thousand marketing and communications, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals. The awards are judged based on the highest standard of excellence in concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. This year, over 3,500 entries from throughout the United States and other countries were received by the Association. Only 15 percent of entrants received a Platinum Award while only 10 percent received an Honorable Mention award. Other companies winning prestigious Platinum Awards included MasterCard worldwide, Bud Light, Business Week Magazine, GEICO, the GAP and The Coca-Cola Company of North America.
EXPLORE! The Flooring Industry board game is an interactive competition that includes 850 flooring-related questions on carpet and hard surface product knowledge, selling skills and the history of the flooring industry. This game is frequently used to energize staff meetings or train sales associates. News Floor You is an e-mail communications newsletter that contains a wide variety of topics from product highlights to tips on working with today’s consumer.
