Shaw Investing $60 Million in SC Operation

Lexington, SC, March 12, 2008—Shaw Industries plans to invest about $60 million over five years to expand its Lexington operation.

The investment will create about 350 new jobs. The company already employs 400 there.

Two years ago, Shaw purchased the former Allied Signal/Honeywell facility, where it currently operates. It will convert an unused part of that facility for its polymer chip production that will be used to make carpet yarn.
