Shaw Flooring Alliance Convention Themed "Explore"
Dalton, GA, November 15, 2006--Shaw and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts in Orlando, Florida welcome Shaw Flooring Alliance (SFA) dealers for the sixth convention, themed Explore, from January 14 through January 17. The convention is bigger and better than ever with a record number of registered attendees, says Blane Haywood, Shaw’s director of residential marketing. Three days of motivating discussion sessions, networking, new product introductions and memorable entertainment make a full agenda, including a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. “Shaw focuses on gearing the conventions to appeal to families. This year, I plan on bringing my 4-year-old daughter. Including my family really personalizes the convention for me,” said Deb Skogmo of DeGraaf Interiors and Kemp Floor Covering in Hudsonville, Mich. “Shaw’s SFA convention is not an event to miss. By their energy and passion, you can see Shaw is working for us.” Fred Reinhart of Reinhart Carpet Outlet in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania looks forward to the networking opportunities and discussion sessions. “While I’m excited to see Shaw’s new products and programs, I am eagerly awaiting the session named best ideas and practices,” said Reinhart. “It’s where I gather with friends in the business, both old and new, to discuss our experiences as flooring retailers. The session is unpredictable and shows that you can never stop learning.” Exciting new product introductions at the convention will include expansions to Kathy Ireland brand flooring, a line exclusive to SFA dealers. Shaw presents a beautiful selection of wood to the current Kathy Ireland carpet, laminate and ceramic offering. Carpet introductions include an updated Kathy Ireland Color Wall with 80 color choices, consumer take home brochures and improved display design. Kathy Ireland Flooring Solutions will feature 20 recyclable carpet styles in five core coordinating colors that are common in each style. Updates to the Kathy Ireland ClearTouch display include 60 fashion forward colors constructed with Shaw’s exclusive ClearTouch fiber, Softbac Platinum backing and R2X stain and soil treatment. Enhancements to the Storeworks program and Shaw Design Center will also be introduced. “We have all seen many products and marketing launches over the years,” said Scott Sandlin, Shaw’s vice president of residential marketing. “However, 2007 is full of innovative, sellable tools and products to assist SFA dealers in reaching their maximum potential. In fact, it will be our best year yet. I’m excited to hear dealers’ reactions at Explore.”
