Shaw Driver Dies in Traffic Accident

Florence, AL, May 25, 2007--The driver of a Shaw Industries 18-wheeler died early yesterday in an accident a crash on U.S. 72, according to the Time-Daily. The newspaper cited Alabama state police.

 

The driver was 41-year-old Edward Stewart, of Summerville, Ga.,  The accident occurred just after 4 a.m. near where the Natchez Trace Bridge intersects with U.S. 72.

 

Cherokee Fire Marshal Arthur Walker said the man died at the scene. He was transporting the carpet from Dalton, Ga., to Memphis, troopers said.

 

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
