Shaw Downsizing at South Carolina Fiber Plant

Dalton, GA – October 21, 2011 - Shaw Industries said it will cut staff at its Columbia, S.C. fiber manufacturing facility.

This reduction, affecting 194 employees, is being made to balance production across Shaw’s heatset fiber facilities, the company said.

Shaw also recently announced that it would close a residential carpet plant in Dalton.
