Shaw Contract Names Design Contest Finalists

Cartersville, GA, June 16, 2009--The Shaw Contract Group has named the finalists for its Design Is… Award, recognizing inspirational and visionary design across the commercial interiors landscape.

After evaluating more than 300 projects that were submitted for this year’s program, a judging panel of design experts narrowed down the field, deciding on the final 16 projects.

Each of these projects is profiled on the new shawcontractgroup.com and users can vote for their favorite to receive the People’s Choice Award. Voting is open to all visitors to the site and will remain live through June 30.

All Design Is… Award winners, including the People’s Choice, will be announced on Aug. 7.

“The Design Is… Award program celebrates more than just beautiful spaces. We’ve captured 16 projects as finalists that surmount simple beauty to deliver innovative solutions, impacting the people who encounter the space and the functions that take place within,” says John Stephens, vice president of marketing.
