Memphis, TN, November 27, 2006--ServiceMaster has promoted president and CFO Ernie Mrozek to vice chairman of the company, according to the Memphis Business Journal.
Chairman and CEO J. Patrick Spainhour said in a statement that he looks forward to working with Mrozek as his partner in helping ServiceMaster to reach its full potential.
"Ernie's business knowledge, operating and financial skills and 19 years of ServiceMaster experience will be invaluable in the years ahead as we work together to take full advantage of the unique opportunities available to our leading brands," Spainhour said in a statement.
Mrozek will continue his oversight of the company's financial and accounting functions, strategic sourcing and investor relations in addition to new responsibilities over risk and safety, corporate communications and government affairs.
ServiceMaster will hire a new CFO who will report to Mrozek.
"I am excited to take on these responsibilities and to have the chance to work closely with Pat, our leadership team and all our associates," Mrozek said in a statement. "My new role will give me more opportunity to focus on our most important strategies and to pursue them with greater intensity."
ServiceMaster has 2,315 employees in Memphis and 39,000 worldwide. All of its divisions are headquartered in Memphis, including Terminix, TruGreen ChemLawn, Merry Maids, ServiceMaster Clean, American Home Shield, Rescue Rooter and American Residential Services.
