September Import Prices Rose for Fourth Month

Washington, DC, October 15, 2020-Prices for U.S. imports increased 0.3% in September, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported, following advances of 1.0% in August, 1.2% in July, and 1.3% in June. 

In September, rising prices for nonfuel imports more than offset lower fuel prices. U.S. export prices increased 0.6% in September, after advancing 0.5 percent the previous month.
