Hoffman Estates, IL, November 29, 2006--Sears Holdings Corp. said Tuesday it acquired a total of 17.8 million common shares of Sears Canada.
Sears subsidiary SHLD Acquisition Corp. acquired the shares of Sears Canada pursuant to an earlier buyout offer, Sears said.
Sears now owns 75.6 million common shares of Sears Canada, or roughly 70.2 percent of Sears Canada's issued and outstanding common shares.
