Schilling To Head Tandus

Dalton, GA, Oct. 10 — Tandus Group has strengthened its senior management team with the transition of Lee Schilling from senior vice president of C&A Floorcoverings to senior vice president of Tandus, the group created to bring the three specialized floorcovering brands C&A, Monterey Carpets and Crossley Carpet Mills together. In addition to designing Tandus'' overall marketing strategy, Schilling now has responsibility for enhancing existing markets and exploring new ones for each brand. "As we structured our business to serve our customers more strategically, we saw a need to share our marketing resources across all segments and brands," said Mac Bridger, CEO of Tandus. "We intend to leverage Lee''s exceptional knowledge of our business and considerable marketing and management skills to enhance and strengthen each of the Tandus brands." Simultaneously, the entire C&A marketing group will move under the Tandus banner. "The collective expertise of our marketing team represents an incomparable value proposition for Tandus," said Schilling. "As a resource for the entire enterprise rather than a single brand, this group will be able to more readily share the in depth knowledge and strategies of our specific commercial market segments. Leveraging the enormous strength of our individual brands will allow us to create even more visibility and expertise in all market segments we serve." The Tandus marketing group will promote each brand''s strengths while communicating to customers, architects, designers, end users and the dealer community the overall strength of the enterprise. They will work in tandem with the various sales organizations to give the customer the right product for each application—whether it’s modular tile, six foot, high end broadloom or woven products. Market segments served by C&A, Monterey and Crossley are: education (K-12 and colleges/universities), healthcare (acute care and long term care), retail, government (GSA, state, local, and public spaces), corporate and architecture/design.
