Schilling Retiring from Tandus After 23 Years

Dalton, GA, May 13, 2009--After 23 years, senior vice president Lee Schilling is retiring from Tandus.

Schilling joined the company in January of 1985 as national sales manager and over his career has been vice president of sales, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and senior vice president of marketing.

He is credited with developing and implementing the company’s market segmentation as well as being an early champion of sustainability within Tandus.

“While we are happy for Lee as he transitions to his new chapter in life, we are deeply saddened to lose someone who has been a true visionary for our company,” said Chief Operating Officer Ralph Grogan.

“Over the years, Lee has made significant contributions to the Tandus strategic marketing platform.”

“Lee has been all about creating differentiation and value for Tandus and our customers.”

Schilling said he feels fortunate to have made so many friends and learn so much from so many people.

“Without question it is because of our people and our culture that has made my time here so gratifying and fulfilling,” Schilling said.

Prior to his Tandus career, Schilling worked in fibers marketing at Allied Chemical, fiber sales at BASF, and at Stratton Industries prior to its sale to Shaw Industries.
