Sauereisen Intros Mortar for Corrosive Environment
Pittsburgh, PA, June 24--Sauereisen has introduced a new, improved Furan Mortar No. 21C for corrosive environments.
The upgraded product, resulting from dedicated research, boasts increased temperature resistance to 450ºF. In addition, it exhibits tensile-bond strength well above industry standards.
Other enhancements include greater resistance to thermal shock and impact. Also, Sauereisen No. 21C will now withstand sulfuric acid at a concentration as high as 60 percent. The advancement in materials and physical properties was accomplished without sacrificing cost competitiveness and the new list price is actually lower.
Furan Mortar No. 21C is a carbon-filled mortar/grout commonly used in brick or tile construction. Typical applications include flooring, tanks or trenches within food plants, dairies, steel mills or chemical processing plants.
