Saudi Rug Firm Opens Sales Office in Dalton
Dalton, GA, Nov. 8, 2011 -- A Saudi Arabian firm has entered the U.S. carpet and rug market from a sales office in Dalton, Ga.
Millennium Weavers is a newly formed global brand of the Saudi firm Al-Sorayai Trading Group.
Leading the management team is president and CEO Jefferson C. Knott. He is a specialist in international startups of new brands and concepts, most notably at Johnson and Johnson. He was also previously international senior vice president of RoomsToGo Corp.
Rickey Mullins, senior vice president of business development is a veteran in in carpet and rug manufacturing. He spent 19 years with Horizon Carpets, then headed up the development and day to day operations of Al-Sorayai’s manufacturing for 17 years.
The domestic area rug business segment is directed by Mike Thompson. After a 16-year career in sales management with Shaw Rugs, Thompson most recently owned and managed a retail specialty rug business in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Gary Goforth has also joined the company to lead sales development in the residential broadloom and commercial business segments in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. He has more than 30 years of sales and marketing management experience in the carpet industry
