Winchester, VA, May 24--With its new web-based distribution management system that automates order processing, Rugs Direct has more than doubled its order-handling capacity and increased sales, according to InternetRetailer.com.
The news website said that Rugs Direct’s new web-based Epicor for Distribution application, from Epicor Software Corp., lets it see multiple parts of order information on a web page in real time, including number of orders by item and size, and return rates.
Rugs Direct, division of Winchester Carpet & Rug Co., does about 80% of its business through drop shippers. It operates two stores and a catalog in addition to RugsDirect.com.
InternetRetailer.com. reported that Rugs Direct’s goal is to have 100 stores within 5-7 years.
