Rosa Sugranes & Iberia Tiles Join Forces with Casa
Miami, FL, December 5, 2006--Rosa Sugranes, chairman and founder of Iberia Tiles, joined forces with Casamood, from Italy, to present the latest work of Italian artist, Luca Pancrazzi 'Alta Definizone' at Art Basel 2006.
The collection will debut at the opening reception on Wednesday, December 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the new Casamood's showroom located at 2328 North Miami Avenue in the Wynwood Art District.
Sugranes is not only a prominent leader in the business community but she is a leader in the cultural community as well. She has been an influential force in expanding Miami's cultural community and has been a great supporter of this growing movement for the past decade. "We were thrilled to present Luca Pancrazzi to spearhead and design this project. His work is amazing and well recognized in the art community. Debuting 'Alta Definizone' at Art Basel only seemed natural," Sugranes stated.
'Alta Definizone' is based on the loss and re-construction of an image by breaking up reality. Pancrazzi recovers his idea of urban scenery by re-creating a 'mood' of sequences from contemporary reality using materials and colors. An evolution of shapes and perceptions is the central theme around which the creations by the artist rotate.
Luca Pancrazzi is one of the most important Italian artists of the generation born in the Sixties. His work blends different approaches to art; with a solid foundation in painting, the Tuscan artist also integrates sculpture and photography into his take on this tradition.
Casamood, by Casa dolce casa from Italy is an open project of coordinated colors and surfaces that combines porcelain tiles, glass tiles with other types of materials to achieve new harmony in residential and commercial projects. Rosa Sugranes founded Iberia tiles in 1979.
The company is one of the largest independently owned distributors of ceramic tile, marble and stone in the Southeast United States and is the exclusive distributor for Casamood in South Florida. Sugranes is responsible for overseeing the company's activities, its various showrooms, warehouses and partnerships.
