Rochester Flooring Buys 12 Locations

Rochester, NY, July 22 -- Rochester Flooring Resource has acquired 12 locations throughout the East Coast and the Midwest from The Invironmentalists. The transaction covers The Invironmentalists commercial flooring and installation business in eight states. The maintenance portion of the business has been retained by The Invironmentalists and will continue to be operated from the current locations. The 12 locations, all of which will continue an affiliation with The Invironmentalists network, join three commercial and six retail operations owned and operated by Albert Pelusio Jr. and David Pelusio Sr. The businesses are in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago (2), Harrisburg, PA, Tampa, Washington D.C., Albany, Rochester and Syracuse in New York state and Stamford and Wallingford in Connecticut. The purchase will allow Rochester Flooring Resource to transfer the company’s experience to new markets and greatly enhance its geographic reach. “My brother David and I are excited to expand into new markets and leverage our firm’s 52 years in the flooring business,” said Albert Pelusio Jr, president of Rochester Flooring. “The 12 new locations will create an opportunity to enhance our capabilities in serving customers with multiple properties in locations that parallel the businesses we have acquired in the transaction.” The existing employee base was a motivating factor in the decision to purchase the 12 sites. “The Invironmentalists is known for well-trained, highly motivated and customer-focused employees. We are looking forward to working with this talented group in growing this business,” said David Pelusio of Rochester Linoleum & Carpet One. The Invironmentalists previously announced a restructuring to enhance the organization’s ability to serve its customer base and augment the value it delivers. The Invironmentalists was advised in the transaction by Carl Marks Capital Advisors.
