Revenues Up, but Pfleiderer Posts Big 2010 Loss

Neumarkt, Germany, June 10, 2011 -– Pfleiderer said that its preliminary figures show that it recorded an increase in consolidated revenue of 8% in 2010 compared with the prior year.

Revenues rose to $2.15 billion.

However, due to high extraordinary expenses for restructuring and impairments of subsidiaries and goodwill, the company posted a loss for the year of $1.04 billion.

The company said it was hurting by rising raw materials costs, as well as inefficient use of production capacity.
