Retailer of the Year Honored

Las Vegas, NV, Feb. 2--On the final day of Surfaces 04, Floor Focus Magazine honored four retailers who participated in the first Best Practices Retail Forum as Retailers of the Year for 2003. Mark Fitzgerald of the Texas retail chain CC Carpet was chosen Best of the Best for his commitment to the floorcovering industry through excellence in Specialty Market and promotions. Tom Jennings of Bud Jennings Carpet One in Lawrence, KS was honored for Best Practices in Installation for a commitment that sets new standards in education and craftsmanship skills. Jim Kerrick of Carpet Weavers in Bloomington, IN accepted the award for Best Practices in Training. That company was honored for commitment to the industry and its people by advancing excellence among its employees. Scott Steel of Buddy & Wanda’s Flooring America in Houston won The Best Practices in Citizenship award for that company’s commitment to its community.
