Report: Home Depot to Receive Offers for HD Supply

New York, NY, June 15, 2007--Home Depot, will receive separate offers of about $10 billion for HD Supply, its contractor supply unit, according to a report from The Economic Times. The offers, according to the reports will come from two private- equity groups   The news service attributed the report to people familiar with the negotiations.   The news service reported that Bain Capital LLC, Carlyle Group and Clayton Dubilier & Rice Inc. make up one group, and the other will included Thomas H. Lee Partners LP and CCMP Capital Advisors LLC.   Though the agreement hasn't been reached, The Economic Times said that final bids are due on Friday.    In February, Home Depot chairman and CEO Frank Blake told investors that the company would consider selling the unit.
