Renamed Parquet Association Gets New Members
Hannover, Germany, Feb. 26, 2010--The Global Flooring Alliance, a newly-named association to promote the use of parquet flooring, has three new members, including BoDeWo (Switzerland), Polimpex (Russia) and Woodpecker
(The Netherlands).
The number of wholesalers/distributors that have joined the Global Flooring Alliance is now 14.
At Domotex, the association Euparal officially changed its name to Global Flooring Alliance.
“After twenty years of existence it’s good to reflect. Markets have changed but also the Association has changed within this period,” says GFA President Carlo Cavinato.
“With Global Flooring Alliance we want to make a statement we see ourselves as a global organization which welcomes new members from countries worldwide. And I dare say our new members have immediately proved that point.”
The aims of the association are to promote parquet in general and to exchange product, market and technical information.
The members also give each other mutual assistance in case of stock shortages and unusual requests or situations.
The Global Flooring Alliance membership consists of one distributor per country in order to prevent conflicting national interests.
