Record Number of Stainmaster Rugs Introed at Atlan

Atlanta, GA, January 21—Invista announced that three major rug mills will introduce 36 new styles of Stainmaster area rugs at the Atlanta International Rug Market. "This record number of introductions by these mills demonstrates the expansion and strength of the Stainmaster brand among manufacturers, retailers and consumers," said Ana Torrence, vice president of home and hospitality for Invista. "It is a strong indicator of consumer and industry preference for the styling and performance associated with the Stainmaster brand." Gulistan, the first manufacturer to launch a line of woven Stainmaster area rugs, is introducing 12 intricate patterns with designs in both traditional Persian motifs and transitional patterns. The Stainmaster area rugs will be available in a variety of sizes including 4x6, 6x9 and 9x12. Additionally, Gulistan is adding ten new hand-carved styles to its Stainmaster area rug 1000 collection, designed specifically for rooms in the home where the homeowner is interested in creating a relaxing environment. The inspiration for the color palette, soft shades of blue, teal and green, came from the relaxing ambiance of a five-star spa experience and the styles combine traditional elements with exotic motifs. The rugs are available in the following sizes: 4x6, 6x9 and 9x12. Milliken adds to its Stainmaster area rug offering with ten more styles in the Pastiche Collection. This upbeat eclectic collection features vibrant colors and soft-fiber technology. Customers benefit from an array of choices such as the richly patterned floral Barrington, the minimalist Bloques, traditional Bantam and the swirls of Remous. In addition to rectangles, squares, rounds, runners and ovals, an octagon is available. Shaw Living is introducing the Versant Collection, a new collection of Stainmaster area rugs constructed of 100 percent nylon fiber. The area rugs are elegant, multi-level textured cut and loop pile construction targeted to consumers interested in both design and durability. Although the area rugs are only available in solid colors, the slight tonal variation between the cut and loop lends a depth and richness of tone reminiscent of a hand tufted product. The area rugs are available in four designs (Amelia, Eddy, Martinique and Rain Forest), four colors (sand, lichen, sisal and wine) and two sizes (5' x 7'6" and 7'6" x 10'6").
