RD Weis Continues to Expand
Port Chester, NY--Randall Weis, President of RD Weis Companies, announced his company's acquisition, through its affiliate Bay Edge Associates, of the assets of SPECTRA Contract Flooring's Union, NJ, and New York, NY, locations, effective December 18, 2005. This is the sixth such acquisition RD Weis has made in the past 18 months, successfully resulting in the company's growth in market share, particularly in the New York metro area.
Commenting on the transaction Randy remarked, "These additions effectively expand our customer channel and enable us to provide additional services that were not available with the SPECTRA network."
"With a new RD Weis Manhattan office location now situated at 260 Fifth Avenue," Randy added, "we will be closing these two Spectra offices and consolidating operations under the leadership of RD Weis' NYC executive director George Ringel."
Dan Clark, General Manager of SPECTRA also remarked, "Putting these two branches in the hands of a local company is part of an ongoing strategy to refine the Spectra network. We're pleased to be doing business with Randy and his team."
