Radici Among Founding Members of ESTO
The association — an initiative of the fifteen largest European manufacturers of artificial grass yarn and carpet, including RadiciGroup — was set up to solve industry issues in a consistent and coordinated manner and to provide expert answers, improve product quality and foster market growth.
To ensure impartiality and transparency, ESTO operates as an Industry Sector Group (ISG) of the European Association for Textile Polyolefins (EATP). One of ESTO’s first endeavours is to involve other operators in the synthetic turf business chain (for example, contractors, installers, architects, suppliers and test laboratories).
Enrico Buriani, CEO of Tessiture Pietro Radici, the ancestral company of RadiciGroup, will serve as vice chairman of ESTO’s Executive Committee.
“ESTO will be instrumental not only in disseminating awareness of synthetic turf’s advantages and benefits to sport clubs, fans and end users, but also in familiarizing interested contractors, installers and municipal authorities with the qualitative characteristics of the product and providing them with needed technical assistance,” Buriani said.
“It will also advance synthetic grass quality improvement, establish a common position on the most relevant issues and set forth guidelines for the synthetic turf sector in accordance with the quality standardization policy and principles of the European Committee for Standardization. All of these activities will have a direct impact on the synthetic turf market’s achieving its full growth potential.”
