Quick-Step Unveils New Flooring Category
Las Vegas, NV, Jan. 25, 2011 –- Quick-Step said it has used its latest proprietary technology to create a “totally new modern flooring category” that's a combination of wood and laminate flooring.
The firm is unveiling the new product, called Decórwood, at Surfaces.
Decórwood "offers one of the most positive combinations of style and value in popular exotic hardwood visuals available in the flooring industry today," Quick-Step said in a press release.
Decórwood features the finish of wood on 6.75' planks.
Quick-Step’s said its technology, called “HiDef Color Fusion Technology,” allows the brand to fuse color directly onto an eco-friendly substrate, composed primarily of post industrial recycled wood, and then finish each plank with a semi-gloss urethane coating
The visual of the installed decórwood floor is augmented by the large number of unique planks, Quick-Step said.
The products is available in Brazilian Walnut, Golden Eucalyptus, Claret Cherry, and Garnet Tupelo. It uses the glueless uniclic installation system.
