QuickStep Launches “Soft-Scraped” Laminates

Dallas, Texas, July 11, 2006--QuickStep is heating things up this summer with newly launched laminate flooring designs in its popular Country, Eligna, and Perspective 4 lines. These fresh designs feature many different styles including country, colonial, and soft-scraped vintage hardwood and antiqued wood. QuickStep’s most anticipated introductions of the year are the new soft-scraped planks, designs never before available in the laminate industry. Part of the Country collection, these soft-scrapes in Autumn Maple, Stained Maple, and Walnut are characterized by their authentic vintage look, with the most realistic surface ever achieved in laminate flooring. All of these soft-scraped planks feature a less aggressive surface finish and softly rounded edges. Each 9.5mm thick plank is 54 11/32” long and 6 1/6” wide. Other additions to the Country collection feature authentic, hand soft-scraped looks, including Rustic Hickory planks with darkened edges for an antiqued look and Oak Colonial planks in a golden brown color tone that coordinates with today’s primary kitchen cabinet colors. Eligna additions include Oiled Walnut, a medium brown plank with an increasingly popular matte finish, Island Oak, and Canyon Oak. These sophisticated oak designs feature deep registered embossing technology to create a highly realistic wood grain effect. New to the Perspective 4 collection (with beveled edges on all four sides) is an Oiled Walnut plank with a smooth matte finish and impressive color variation. The sophistication and accurate wood patterning of this summer’s launch is the type of superior technology found only in QuickStep laminate. Shown below, from left to right are Country in Rustic Hickory, Eligna in Island Oak, and Perspective 4 in Oiled Walnut.
