Thomasville, NC, January 10, 2006--For QuickStep, the year 2005 was anything but average. The glueless laminate producer introduced new cutting edge designs, saw mounting sales and celebrated the grand opening of its high tech facility in Thomasville, North Carolina.
On the heels of this recent activity, QuickStep has developed a “World Class” State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility Tour and Sales Seminar to support and educate distributor salespeople who represent the company to thousands of retail stores across the U.S.
In November 2005, QuickStep hosted 35 distributor sales representatives from CMH Flooring Products. During the two-day event, the CMH sales team received a guided tour of QuickStep’s manufacturing facility in which QuickStep personnel described the entire production process from beginning to end.
Following the plant tour, CMH reps attended a sales seminar delivered by QuickStep’s sales & marketing team. Attendees were given an overview of QuickStep’s marketing, public relations, accessories, installation and claims and warranty programs.
“Our sales team came back from the QuickStep tour more excited than they’ve ever been on any other mill tour,” said Art Layton, marketing director for CMH. “The enthusiasm of the QuickStep team, the technology of the new facility, and the company’s commitment to producing quality laminate floors had them truly energized. We’re thrilled to have QuickStep in the U.S. and particularly based here in the Carolinas.”
“By bringing our distributors into the new facility, we’re giving them a firsthand look at the success that they’ve helped us to achieve here in the United States,” said Ken Peden, QuickStep’s vice president of sales & marketing. “We place an incredible amount of emphasis on our distributor relationships. Exchanging ideas while sharing our knowledge and accomplishments with them is a fantastic way to keep this relationship strong.”
