Boca Raton, FL, November 30, 2005--Q.E.P. Co. has announced that it will open its new worldwide global sourcing operation in Shanghai, China.
This office is headed by Terry Hirschman, Vice President of Global Services, who will be responsible for sourcing products for all Q.E.P.'s divisions throughout the world and for working with Q.E.P. customers, both existing and new, who desire to be a direct importer from China.
Lewis Gould, Q.E.P.'s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commenting on the new addition said, "The new office will permit us to have our 'feet on the ground' in China. It will help our smallest subsidiaries consolidate their purchasing from various vendors, source appropriately at the best pricing and provide a contact point for our worldwide customers who desire to import directly from China. We expect the office to be fully functional and to be connected to our worldwide locations by the end of December 2005." Mr. Gould concluded, "I believe that this is a major step in our development to strengthen our worldwide subsidiaries."
