Pulte Homes Reports Smaller Quarterly Loss

Bloomfield Hills, MI, Feb. 9, 2010--Pulte Homes reported a fourth quarter net loss of of $117 million, despite an increase in homebuilding revenues.

The company said homebuilding revenue totaled $1.6 billion, an increase of 5% over 2008.

Pulte reported that net sign-ups increased 113% over the prior year to 3,748 Homes. It now has a backlog of 5,931 homes.

For the comparable period in 2008, the company reported a net loss of $338 million, or $1.33 per share.

On Aug. 18 Pulte Homes completed its merger with Centex Corporation.
