ProSource Named Top Flooring Franchise
St. Louis, MO, February 1, 2008—Entrepreneur magazine has named ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings, the largest professionals-only wholesale flooring showroom in North America, as the top floorcoverings franchise.
The company is also cited as being the No. 277 franchise overall among the top 500.
“Our investment to the growth of the brand and our franchisees has been an influential factor in receiving this honor and will continue to play a great role in the future as ProSource continues to implement its growth strategy,” said Mark Jameson, vice president of franchise development for Prosource.
Entrepreneur considers financial strength and stability, growth rate and size of the system. Also considered are the number of years in business and length of time franchising, start-up costs, litigation, and percentage of terminations and whether the company provides financing. All companies, regardless of size, are judged by the same criteria.
The company plans to 20 new locations by the end of 2009. Targeted metro markets include Miami; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; San Francisco and Orange County.
The magazine said there are 158 U.S. Prosource franchises and start-up costs begin at $313,700.
